Man arrested following report of fly-tipping in Albury |
||
|
A man was arrested and a van was seized after police were alerted to suspicious activity in Albury last night (Tuesday 3 February). Response officers and the Rural Operational Support Team (ROST) immediately attended the area following a report that fly-tipping was suspected to be in progress. Upon arrival, a van was found abandoned in a field after getting stuck in the mud, with waste items discarded around it. A man was detained nearby and arrested on suspicion of: • Fly-tipping • Handling stolen goods • Driving with no insurance • Possession of cannabis He remains in police custody and enquiries continue. A great example of how our policing teams and the public work together to get results. If you witness any suspicious activity in rural locations, please report it to police straight away. | ||
